Project Manager – Interior Architect / Designer

Job Description
Allen Saunders Design is looking for a passionate individual who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to join and advance with a dynamic and growing design firm.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the development of projects from conceptualization, design development, and construction documentation through execution in the field.
The Project Manager will work as a collaborative team member developing projects within the Design Studio, and as a leader to junior designers and production staff.
A successful candidate will be a self-motivated leader, with a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop schematic / conceptual design presentation drawings in collaboration with the Design Director and Studio Director
- Coordinate with ASD design team for integration of selected finishes and materials into drawings
- Complete fully detailed and coordinated Construction Document sets in AutoCAD
- Research and source architectural products, and make decisions regarding technical details for construction
- Provide leadership and coordinate with outside consultants, including Architects, MEP Engineers, A/V Consultants, etc. for integration into project
- Review shop drawings, project submittals, etc. for document compliance
- Complete construction site visits at ongoing projects
- Complete detailed drawings for custom furnishings and millwork
- Manage multiple projects at varying phases of completion simultaneously
Necessary Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to convey project information to coworkers, clients, and consultants
- Excellent graphic, written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional AutoCAD skills
- Experience and strong knowledge of construction documentation and technical detailing
- Advanced skillset regarding interior construction, custom millwork and furniture detailing
- Thorough knowledge of construction materials, architectural finishes, interior design products, industry standards and Codes
Requirements, Experience, and Education
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an interior design or architectural practice in high end residential, commercial and/or hospitality projects
- Bachelor or Master degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution
- Licensure or Registration as an Interior Designer or an Architect is not required, but is a plus
- Fully Proficient in AutoCAD
- Sketchup, REVIT or 3D Modeling experience is highly desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite Software (Including Acrobat or BlueBeam)
- Experience Coordinating with MEP engineering consultants for discipline integration
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal & written communication skills. Additional languages a plus
- Legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
