Design City is offering Brand Ambassador Internships this Spring semester. This program will teach ambassadors about how a fast-paced tech startup/interior design company brings its product to market as well as offer an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in its operations. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, sociable, enthusiastic, and most importantly fun and friendly!

Candidates are expected to increase Design City’s brand awareness and attract new members to Design City by posting on social media outlets, spreading the word within the local design community, contacting local home decor and furniture store owners, and other interior design professionals, posting on our blog posts and finding other creative ways to spread the word about Design City. The ambassadors will be able to develop skills in the areas such as leadership, marketing, communication, selling skills, public speaking, and digital media.

Design City is currently offering Part-Time ambassador trainee positions that are flexible in terms of hours as ambassadors can work on projects remotely.

After successfully completing the ambassador trainee program with Design City, potential opportunities could include full-time & part-time internships & job opportunities within Design City, recommendations & introductions with other employers, and more. Ambassadors will be working directly with the management team, helping in multiple facets of the business.

Commitments

  • 2 months
  • 15 hours a week
  • $16 hourly wage

Responsibilities

  1. Be responsible for building a community for the Tampa-Bay region and be the main point of contact for their community. 
  2. Attract new members and increase member engagement through various programs, including marketing campaigns, events, partnerships with related interior design and home decor businesses. 
  3. Build and execute a promotional strategy within your own and other universities/colleges/ schools networks (both students and alumni), personal social networks, interior design experts, store owners, and other relevant channels 
  4. Create product awareness through content creation, mainly on Instagram. 
  5. Do direct marketing to store owners and interior designers to feature them on Design City’s upcoming interview series. 
  6. Collaborate in the production of video interviews with local designers and store owners. 
  7. Write weekly blog posts with the help of Design City staff. 
  8. Provide weekly updates for community membership and engagement.
