JOB SUMMARY: Intern works with the facility design team on one project working in areas of BIM, Interiors, and Architecture. Intern will assist in the CA phase of the project coordinating between GC and A&E, providing sketches and solutions to design and constructability issues of the project at hand as well as assisting in asset management and documentation archiving.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works though RFIs from GC and coordinates with the internal team members as well as A&E to provide answers and keep project moving in timely manner.
  • Utilizes and maintains schedule and document management to track and report project performance.
  • Ensures documents alignment to changes/updates on ongoing basis.
  • Ensures construction work complies with all architectural and engineering standards, codes, specifications, and creative intent.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Theme Park Design, Civil Engineering, Engineering

EXPERIENCE: Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suites, and hand sketching
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Bluebeam, BIM360, and ACC preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2023.
