Interior Design / Selections Coordinator. Start at an Assistant Level and become The Coordinator. This person will either do all the selections of the job with Michael Forst and the owner of project or if the owners have an interior designer, we will assist the owner and the designers, in order to keep the job organized and on schedule.   This position is the middle person between the owner and their interior designer and the subcontractors, as well as the field to help the job run smoothly and organized with all details and detail changes.   The assistant will help put all rough packages in order for the field with the specific details needed to do the work in the field for the supervisor and the subcontractors.

Schedule and attend all client meetings pertaining to Selections. Be prepared according to phase(s). 

Schedule and attend Subcontractor meetings pertaining to field work and Selections. Job site layout with Subcontractors as needed. 

Maintain and prompt clients to stay on schedule during the selections process.

Write out Change orders on Builder Trend pertaining to changes and add ons for client’s selection decisions. 

Make Copies of each Change order so we have a hard copy of all.

Organize owners Selections books within the office for easy access.

Coordinate with Interior Designer on staff to create visuals for clients: Design Books, Idea Books, Detail Book for drafting as details can get pulled from one job to another. Furniture plans upon request.

Make copies of blueprints as requested.

Study blueprints and contract specifications.

Prepare Selections section of final book given to client at final walk through. 

Provide all rough information to the Field and Subcontractors like the plumbing, appliances, etc.  Create packages and plans marked up for execution in the field.

Sell EXTRAS during all phases of the Selection process. Compute all pricing on extras.

Basic office responsibilities: Straighten up work area when day is complete. Fill paper in machines as needed. Answer telephone when needed.   Attend staff meetings.   

Assist in putting new contracts together by helping with price and specifications of new jobs.

Help Answer the phones

Help with all Warranty calls and service for all new jobs while we are under warranty.

Collect all warranties and final paperwork on the houses systems and prepare the final book.

Shop prices as requested for materials and subcontractors.

Improve your design skills to take on more and become a lead person with Design in general.

Drafting and Cad is not mandatory but would be a great asset to have and to learn.

Notary is not a mandatory thing but would be a great benefit to the organization.

Be an Ambassador for the Organization.  Keep the clients and the Subs Happy.
