Integrated Support Services (ISS) is offering an opportunity for a qualified individual to serve on a 180-day Temporary appointment as an Interior Designer at the GS-07 level
Integrated Support Services is part of The Library of Congress’ enabling infrastructure. ISS provides support to the Library community in the areas of Facility Services, Operations, Logistics Services, Health Services, and Safety Services with all entities focused on delivering a high level, professional customer experience.

The Interior Designer:
- Updates floorplans in AutoCAD to include
- revising layer names to AIA standard
- applying correct layers to each element
- removing all unused layers
- replacing elements with repeatable blocks
- Updates existing Revit models with correct
- new rooms and space data when AutoCAD backgrounds are revised
- Surveys spaces to capture existing conditions

Interested Candidates should, provide a resume with a one-page statement expressing interest in this opportunity, along with a description of qualifications that includes current work experience and training related to the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
- AutoCad (2023 preferred) and computer technology with proficiency in Excel
- Layer Management
- Naming conventions per AIA standard
- Layer assignments per element type
- Layer Management
- Layer cleanup
- Removing outdated and unused layers
- Block Management
- Ability to manage, organize and execute projects
- Site Surveys
- Ability to interact and communicate collaboratively with all levels of an organization
- Preferred: Basic understanding of Revit Architecture up to 2023
Deadline for Application Submissions is October 30, 2024.
This temporary opportunity is for 180-days and is open to all. The work schedule full-time and/or part-time, flextime, Monday thru Friday, 24 to 40 hours per week. Situational telework may be available.
