Harvey Bernstein is a CCE Tenured Professor at Pratt Institute as well as a past resident Cejas Scholar at Florida International University. He is also president of Bernstein Design Associates. His firm provides consulting services in Industrial, Interior, retail, exhibit and graphic Design, The firm has worked for Warnaco, Calvin Klein, IBM, The Franklin Mint, Speedo, Solomon Brothers, Chase Manhattan Bank, The International Design Center (IDCNY), The Italian Trade Commission. The firm has been committed to design research and has designed products, offices, showrooms and retail interiors, in-store shops and graphics for companies such as J C Penney, Knoll International, Hallmark Cards, Sony, Zelco Industries, Just Bulbs, The American Institute of Graphic Arts, The American Crafts Museum ,The New York Art Directors Club and The Atlanta Olympics ; as well as over four hundred retail stores including Prototypes for Speedo, The Franklin Mint, Calvin Klein, The Computer Doctor, Just Bulbs and Penhaligons Perfumers. He is a past President of the New York Chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and a member of its board of directors, as well as a member of the American Institute of Graphics Arts (AIGA) and the Institute of Business Designers. He has served on design Juries for ID Magazine, Accent on Design, The Lumen Awards, The New York Art Directors Club, East Meets West. He has also served on the Nissan advisory board and at the Corning new materials design conference.
