Overview:
Working within Tech Data’s global Corporate Communications department, the Social Media Manager is responsible for communicating the company’s strategic direction and initiatives via internal digital channels and on the main page of techdata.com. This includes developing innovative ways to engage employees across key communications channels and programs, applying metrics and analysis to online activities, as well as educating and coaching business partners on ways to effectively leverage internal social media, email, digital signage and the corporate intranet to achieve target outcomes. This role is also responsible for creating, promoting, and governing a strategic vision and voice for global public digital content, consistent with the company’s strategic direction and initiatives. This includes collaborating with content contributors around the world to ensure Tech Data is represented accurately, consistently, and in-line with the content strategy.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Strategy (40%)
- Manage overall global content strategy (i.e., main page development, page/content governance for company-wide material, etc.)–for Tech Data’s global social media channels, the company intranet and key portions of techdata.com.
- Serve as global social media lead, managing social media policies and strategies, and coordinating global social media program in partnership with regional, country and specialized business communications teams
- Develop and enforce an appropriate content voice for social media, the company intranet and techdata.com.
- Use analytics to help drive the evolution of the channels and the content included in each
- Partner with IT to define content needs for both the main page and About section of techdata.com and the company intranet.
- Identify opportunities to integrate content provided by regional, business and topic experts to maximize content delivery.
Digital Engagement (40%)
- Lead internal efforts to build online communities, capture and engage audiences, coordinate campaigns and target online outreach programs to key stakeholders
- Capture digital feedback for future content creation and messaging
- Apply new social media tools and applications to increase the user base and engagement within the internal social network
- Integrate social media platforms, corporate intranet and other collaboration tools into Tech Data programs and initiatives to make it easy for employees to connect with relevant content and people across the organization
- Learn and act as primary subject matter expert for social media platform (Sprinklr) and web content management system (Adobe Experience Manager)
- Act as an approver for new and modified content as part of new and existing workflows
Project Management (20%)
- Deliver high-quality, on-brand design solutions within tight timelines
- Provide regular project updates to project team, stakeholders, project champions and senior leadership as needed

Qualifications:
Experience:
- Must have 5+ Years of Social Media strategies for a corporation
- Must have experience managing corporate presence across social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook
- Experience using and/or managing social media management platform like Sprinklr is required
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Communications, Journalism, Marketing or closely related field of study or equivalent required
- Other Education / Certifications: General experience in SharePoint design, including UX/web design, site improvement and analytics, online promotion and email marketing; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions:
- Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
