Responsibilities
The intern will gain exposure to a range of economic policy issues while developing their communications, events, and writing skills. Applicants should expect a range of responsibilities, broadly defined under the following categories:
Event Outreach: The intern will provide support for all aspects of special event coordination for public forums and other events.
Communications Outreach: The intern will provide support for traditional and social media engagement efforts.
Office Support: The applicant should be prepared to help with general office support.
The events and communications intern will support the work of the Managing Director, Events & Outreach Manager, Project and Design Coordinator and the Senior Communications Coordinator at The Hamilton Project.
Responsibilities include providing support with event coordination; developing and updating media lists; analyzing media coverage stakeholder research; drafting tweets and other content for social media and newsletters; providing support as needed, in drafting website content; copyediting various THP external documents; and completing other office support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Knowledge/Skills:
Applicants pursing a graduate or undergraduate degree (who have completed their sophomore year), or recent college graduates in journalism, political science, economics, or similar fields are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have strong writing and communications skills. Prior public affairs, event coordination or communications internship experience is desired.
A successful applicant will have a strong team work ethic and a belief that no task is too big or too small.

This is a remote only opportunity. This internship requires you to be located in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
