TEGNA is a large, public media company with a portfolio that includes 63 TV stations. We’re committed to developing the next generation of media industry leaders. Our PAID internship program gives students an opportunity to explore career paths across TEGNA. Participants will gain valuable real-world experience alongside some of the most senior and celebrated journalists in the country and have the chance to build a network that will be invaluable throughout their careers. Interns will be placed at multiple TEGNA stations around the country. Come join us in the adventure!

  • Produce engaging content for all platforms, broadcast, digital, and social
  • Use social media and other tools to understand audience’s needs
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn as much as possible about a career in media
  • Assist as needed in the newsroom

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree-seeking student currently enrolled at a college or university; preference is for juniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who will be rising seniors during their internship summer
  • Passion for storytelling
  • Strong writing and social media skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
