SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting a range of communication activities, including researching, writing, editing, preparing, designing and disseminating a variety of Museum of Discovery & Science products (programs, films, exhibits, camps, memberships, group sales, etc.) and promotional materials through newspapers, magazines, television, radio, influencers and social media platforms, stories, ads, etc. In addition, updating and maintaining the Museum’s website with copy and developing new content as needed; monitoring external blogs and websites; assisting in the creation and design of publications, reports, e-newsletters, invitations, displays, banners, brochures, promotional materials, e-marketing and outreach materials; creating and editing digital photos, videos and audio content; designing invitations, posters, flyers print advertisements and other marketing collateral materials as needed; as well as managing and evaluating the impact of the Museum’s website; implement sales promotions and coordinated promotional events.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience in a related area. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and ability to cultivate and maintain media relations connected to the generation of publicity. Ability to create and coordinate sales promotions. Strong project management and organizational skills. In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios. Knowledge of the blogging ecosystem. Good technical understanding and ability to adapt to new media quickly. Cover letter should complement your resume.
