Aberdeen Golf & Country Club in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a Communications Coordinator who will play a lead role in the development, creation, and management of a content strategy for Aberdeen’s digital media channels including social media, website, app, newsletters, and all other platforms. The emphasis is on generating consistent, accurate, timely, effective, and creative communications of the highest quality to the Club members, and its staff. Our selected candidate will have a proactive approach to getting the job done and a customer service, can-do attitude.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the Following:

·        Assists in the planning, production and execution of all member communications including, but not limited to:

o   Member email blasts

o   Seasonal Menus & F&B Specials

o   Monthly menu planner

o   Club wide digital signage boards

o   Club special event flyers

o   Club social media campaigns

o   Club weekly newsletter & quarterly magazine

·        Maintain and update Club’s website/ app

·        Troubleshoot technical issues and assist members on the phone/via email in receiving club emails/ communications. Assist in setting up member’s reoccurring payments through the Club’s website.

·        Take event photos/videos and maintain the archive of the Club’s photos

·        Generates clear, concise, and original verbiage for written communications

·        Uses inventive designs to create superb promotional pieces that are visually appealing and consistent with the Club’s brand

·        Uses imagination and creativity to develop new and innovative ways to market and communicate Club events and services

·        Assists with the administration of online event registration

·        All other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration & Events and/or General Manager

 

Position Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or related

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram, etc.)

·        Minimum of two (2) years’ experience

·        Must have graphic design/photography/videography experience and able to present examples

·        Must be able to represent the Aberdeen Golf & Country Club brand to all content being used

·        Must have excellent written and communication skills

·        Must have strong time management skills and able to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment

·        Must be able to work autonomously

·        Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. for camera equipment and stand on feet for long periods of time when filming content

·        Works as a team player to enhance and expand the club’s marketing efforts to ensure “the Good Life”

·        Reliable transportation with valid Driver’s license

 

Desired Qualifications:

·        Experience in a country club or hospitality/resort environment

·        Prior experience with JONAS Club Software

·        App management experience

·        Prior drone experience (for photos/videos)
