The Role
The Northridge Group is seeking a creative and strategic Content Marketing Specialist with expertise in content creation and social media. The Content Marketing Specialist will report to the Marketing Manager and assist in the creation of content and the execution and optimization of ongoing digital campaigns. Regular responsibilities for this position include researching and writing marketing content, conducting keyword research and search engine optimization, managing leads and contact reporting through HubSpot CRM, and constructing social media posts and marketing email content. The ideal candidate is an innovative team player who enjoys writing, analyzing data and tracking the performance of various marketing campaigns while applying key learnings to further lead generation initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop marketing content for website, blogs, email marketing, social media, sales materials, case studies, white papers, webinars, and proprietary research. Provide writing and editing support for press releases, proposals and RFPs.
- Utilize search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing. Ensure content is well-researched, well-written and aligns with the company’s mission.
- Follow an editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content.
- Oversee social media activity/write and post content on Facebook, LinkedIn, & Twitter.
- Assist team with webinars (planning and management as well as content development).
- Collaborate with team members, providing project support as needed such as SEO optimization, PowerPoint presentations, client surveys, etc.
- Assist with monthly employee newsletter.
- Assist with event planning.
- Regularly report on key growth metrics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-3 years of digital or content marketing experience required.
- Exceptional writing, editing and researching skills.
- Demonstrated experience with social media campaigns and content management.
- Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms such as HubSpot.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, such as Hootsuite.
- Some graphic design skills and the ability to create visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.
- Familiarity with SEO trends, keyword analytics and website visitor analytics through platforms such as Conductor and Google Analytics.
- Ability to interface with a wide range of consultants and leaders, strong leadership skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, PR or other related degree required.
