The ABA Summer Internship Program provides students with a full-time, paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in a number of departments across ABA. The 2022 cohort will work 37.5 hours per week from June 2022 until August 2022. This opportunity will be based in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Regularly update website content to reflect ABA issues, events, community engagement, and other communications. 
  • Review and monitor website content and performance, and work with web team staff to make data-based recommendations for enhancements that engage ABA’s digital audience.
  • Help manage incoming web requests through ticketing system.
  • Help manage ABA social media channels by curating content and devloping ideas for daily posts

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Content Management Systems (such as Sitecore or WordPress) preferred
  • Familiarity with major social media platfosm like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • HTML Proficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Junior/Senior standing Computer Science, Web Design, Communications or related field
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
