Position Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with executing Twins’ external diversity and inclusion programs to achieve organizational objectives.
- Oversee planning and execution of Twins participation in community-hosted events aligned with organization’s DEI objectives.
- Execute a results-driven social media strategy for Twins community social platforms, including developing and curating content, creating a social media calendar, and providing regular reporting against stated goals.
- Coordinate and execute activations for annual diversity recognition programs including, but not limited, to Jackie Robinson Day, Roberto Clemente Day, and Black History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month.
- Manage the Twins Reading Is Powerful school program.
- In conjunction with department leadership, develop annual voting campaigns to include messaging and collaborating with external partners.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with the local school systems; actively contribute to education-related community engagement initiatives as assigned.
- Oversee day-to-day duties of DEI intern.
- Coordinate with content team all creative requirements by DEI team.
- Assist with coordinating purchasing of items through the Procurement Departments in support of DEI programs.
- Conduct best practices research.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in community engagement, DEI or non-profit management.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including successful development, implementation, and assessment of DEI related programs.
- Proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Strong computer skills – including all Microsoft Office software programs.
- Able to adapt to frequently changing work environments, and deliver on challenging demands.
- Able to work irregular work hours including nights, weekends, holidays; attend Twins and Twins Community Fund events.
- Self-motivated; team player with strong work ethic.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Degree in marketing, communication, or management preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project or event management experience.
- Proficiency is Spanish.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
