Quest Corporation of America, Inc. (Quest) is seeking a Construction Community Outreach Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic organization. Must have experience leading communications for multiple infrastructure improvement projects from Planning, Project Development and Environment (PD&E), design through construction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Respond to public and media inquiries.

·        Prepare and distribute project information collaterals – fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, etc.

·        Attend weekly construction progress meetings as necessary.

·        Develop marketing material and create social media and web content.

·        Work with construction project managers to identify and manage information related to construction issues, including community concerns.

·        Coordinate and participate in public meetings.

·        Maintain a favorable, strong public image for the organization and customer.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in public relations, marketing, journalism, or communications, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications, marketing, and/or grassroots campaign.

Professional Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with a State, County or Municipal agency.
  • Knowledge of Planning, PD&E, and Design phase projects.
  • Familiarity with digital communications, including websites, social media, signage, direct mail campaigns, and graphic design.

·        Ability to work well with the public and interact effectively with all organizational levels, including agency/client staff, senior management, executive leadership, board members, community leaders, and city/county/state representatives.

  • Knowledge of State, County, or Municipal public meetings and public workshops.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with a significant degree of independence, initiative, creativity, and expert judgment.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Talent for understanding, simplifying, and effectively communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
