What you will be doing: The Department of Environmental Quality is seeking a highly qualified candidate to lead all aspects of the Office of Communications. This position serves as the agency spokesperson and manages all agency media relations and communications efforts. The Communications Program Manager shall ensure consistency and integrity of agency communications across central and regional offices and between agency executives and the Governor’s office, coordinate public information and outreach efforts and respond to press inquiries, and oversee the agency web presence. The Communications Program Manager is a member of the agency Leadership Team (LT) established to serve as an overall advisory body to the Director to provide oversite and coordination for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and other efforts and projects designed to advance the goals and objectives of the Agency. The LT is also charged with overseeing the identification, prioritization, development, and implementation of Agency operational initiatives.
