The Job:

We are looking for a Content Analytics Intern to serve as a part of the content analytics team for CNN Digital. This intern will partner closely with Editorial, Programming, Content Strategy, Content Science, and Data Platform leaders to help CNN develop a deeper understanding of its content portfolio. Furthermore, you will collaborate with other analysts on the team to provide actionable content insights to our business and creative executives across CNN.

 

The Daily:

  • Provide analytics for Content & Editorial; as a member of content analytics ‚your insight will help shape the direction of data products, programming opportunities, and analyses across multiple platforms and content consumption experiences
  • Build proactive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams to understand the relevant business opportunities and influence CNN Digital roadmap
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and analyst peers in scoping, prioritizing, and resourcing of initiatives for the content analytics team and effectively align projects with broader company and team OKRs
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and deliver effective analytical solutions (self-service data platforms, dashboards, experimentation design)
  • Partner with the data platform and engineering team to continually iterate on the technical requirements, frameworks, tools, and processes supporting analytics in a way that benefits the company, the team, and the product

The Essentials:

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Proficiency in SQL, Git, and Python/R
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methods
  • Experience with one or more visualization tools, such as Looker/Mixpanel/Tableau
  • Experience in content analytics for a DTC media company or streaming service is a strong plus
  • Experience developing data products is a plus

Internship Program:

  • Fall 2022 program dates are October 3rd – December 9th; must be available for full program duration
