The Job:
Warner Bros. Television produces scripted dramas, comedies, limited series, and original movies for multiple platforms. As of September 2022, Warner Bros. Television is producing more than 60 scripted series for Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO Max, external on-demand/streaming services, premium/pay and basic cable channels, and the five U.S. broadcast networks. It’s exciting to work for a team that works on publicity campaigns for shows across all platforms offering a diverse slate of shows. This provides a unique experience for our interns. Warner Bros. Television also attracts some of the best producers because they know their show will find the right network/platform.
The Daily Responsibilities:
- Tracking press coverage across all Warner Bros. Television Group properties and distributing the department daily press packet.
- Brainstorming various press and social media opportunities.
- Reading scripts and taking detailed notes in order to participate in ideation sessions prior to premieres.
- Utilizing Cision to create media lists of press for campaigns, mailers or events.
- Work with written communications department on writing/research assignments.
- Drafting pitches for various press opportunities.
- Assist in preparing for panels, set visits, press junkets, press mailers and other events.
The Essentials:
- Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (18 years or older)
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Keen interest in publicity
- Proficient in MS Office and entertainment outlets specific to TV and WB destination genres, and social media platforms beyond Twitter and Facebook
- Familiar with Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills – both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
- Graphic Design experience is a bonus
About the Internship Program:
- Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
- Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
- Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
- Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
