Internship Overview
Our internship program is a dynamic group of emerging, high potential rising university seniors who will have the opportunity to participate in a 10-week summer internship at the World’s Leading Fragrance Specialty Retailer.
This internship will provide the opportunity for a comprehensive view of the various functional areas within specialty retail. You will have the opportunity to work along-side and learn from BBW associates who will provide training, development and engagement of your function and our Brand.

Program Area
The External Communications team leverages earned media and other corporate channels to monitor brand health and mitigate issues to protect the reputation and build trust in the Bath & Body Works brand. They represent the company and/or coach other company representatives on highly sensitive issues and conversations with external stakeholders. The team is also responsible for developing narrative corporate storytelling through various external channels.
Responsibilities
In this internship role, the candidate will be primarily responsible for monitoring online and social media conversations regarding our business and brand health.
Additionally, there will be occasional projects and/or events within External Communications and within other teams. Examples include Community Relations, Government Affairs, and Investor Relations.
The external communications intern will:
· Monitor social channels, blogs, message boards, etc. for Bath & Body Works-related issues, anticipated issues, or trends via a social listening tool
· Use findings from monitoring to compile and distribute an issues-based monitoring report daily
· Research and provide relevant information/reports to leadership regarding specific issues, trends, or organizations
· Attend and participate in appropriate team and function meetings
· Support writing needs, such as drafting and editing press releases regarding personnel and community activities

Qualifications
· University current juniors pursuing their bachelor’s degree and in good academic standing
· Must be able to work 40 hours per week during summer 2023
· Early June to Mid-August
· Computer fluency with programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
· Significant knowledge/understanding of social media platforms and trends
· Innate curiosity and desire to learn, strong analytical and logical thinking skills
· Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
· Past internship experience in a communications-related role a plus
· Strong written and verbal skills
