Your role in helping us shape the future:

Health & Wellness (including Diets, Health Products, and Insurance) is one of U.S. News’s largest health segments, with a mission to help consumers find the right wellness products & services to make better health choices. U.S. News & World Report is seeking a product intern to help increase long-term user engagement in our product pages and offerings.

Are you up to the challenge?

As a product intern you will participate in multiple stages of the product development process for one or more wellness products including:

1. Conducting competitor research and identifying/validating opportunities to optimize product pages for traffic and engagement

2. Prioritizing and managing a pipeline of product optimization ideas

3. Collaborating with SEO, UX (research and design) and software development teams on design and implementation

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

Eligible candidates must be one of the following:

  • Part-time or full-time students who have completed 48+ credit hours (rising juniors/seniors and graduate students) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university

Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace

Effective communicator in both written and spoken English

Good oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite and Google Docs

3.0 GPA or above preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work EST hours preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, independence, and a strong sense of curiosity
  • Solid excel skills (or an interest in learning them)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Summer Intern Program Description:

  • 10 weeks; ideally, starting on Monday, June 5, 2023 through Friday, August 11, 2023.
  • We expect interns to work 37.5 hours/week, Monday- Friday
  • Internship pays $16.10 an hour.
