Description

The Intern will assist with photographic content in support of social media, brand marketing, corporate and communication initiatives. The Intern supports the video team in conceptual ideation, and innovative and creative video and motion graphic solutions. This position will work within a highly collaborative team and the Creative Design Manager to assess the needs of the company, provide a visual road map and develop brand styles for all aspects of video production, for marketing, communication, information and training purposes. This position will be an in-office setting in our World Headquarters in Kansas City.

  • Assist with producing content (images, video, and audio) in support of brand websites, social media, mobile sites, mobile applications, and internal communications.
  • Assist with ideation and brainstorming with marketing, drawing from knowledge of photo production to conceptualize, develop and deliver work product that exceeds the expectations of internal clients.
  • Assist photography team with photographic creativity in an effort to improve company storytelling.
  • Assist with manipulation and enhancing scanned or digital images to create desired effects, using computers and specialized software.
  • Assist with optimizing photo for digital photo platforms and social networks.
  • Assist in timely delivery of all video requests.
  • Assist with conceptualizing video assets through storyboarding, directing, shooting, lighting, recording content and editing videos.
  • Assist with edits and production of video/audio/digital media within time constraints.
  • Assist with production of videos in various formats for different media.
  • Assist with design and development of various motion graphics to enhance video.
  • Learn and assist with adhering to the legalities and copyright releases involved with the video production.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • In pursuit of Bachelors degree in film, broadcast journalism, interactive/digital media, film or video production or closely related field
  • Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
