Feeling called to help support children in Miami-Dade’s foster care system? Join the Voices For Children team and become part of the safety net for children experiencing foster care in our community.
Summary: The Communications Manager will plan and execute Voices For Children’s internal and external communications, marketing, and advertising efforts with the goal of making Voices For Children a household name locally and nationally.
Specific responsibilities will include: (1) ensuring integrated and consistent marketing communications in line with brand image in preparation of anticipated organizational growth (2) create and manage all internal and external communications and marketing efforts to meet both the development departments’ needs in addition to the overall organization’s needs (3) manage and develop Voice’s website and social media platforms, and 4) project management of external communications and marketing contract professionals.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain and elevate Voices identity and brand. Ensure total adherence to Voices’ message through institutional and event collateral, solicitation materials, senior staff and Board messaging and presence throughout the community, and available communications tools.
- Create and manage the design, printing and/or distribution of all print and electronic communications including monthly newsletters, impact reports, event collateral, fundraising appeals, donor stewardship, etc.
- Manage and maintain Constant Contact and relevant distribution lists.
- Develop and revise major fundraising event talking points for accurate grammar and content.
- Under the advisement of the Communications Committee, implement a comprehensive strategic marketing communications (MARCOM) plan that allocates the marketing department’s budget to encompass all organizational marketing and public relations efforts in alignment with organizational growth and planning.
- Conduct ongoing market research, evaluation of off-line and on-line communication tools to guide our strategy around marketing and communication efforts.
- Own maintenance and development of Voices’ website, including the creation and management of website content, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Blog, LinkedIn and YouTube).
- Develop and manage relationships with website vendors, photographers, graphic designers and printing firms.
- Manage external Public Relations consultant’s efforts to garner media attention for Voices.
- Maintain press clips for the organization to ensure Voices’ brand and identity is portrayed accurately in the community.
- Generate quarterly reports of activities and metrics for President & CEO and board of directors.
- Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in communications, marketing, and social media management.
- English-language with Spanish-language proficiency preferred. High degree of professionalism, initiative, and creativity as well as impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills required. Knowledge of AP Stylebook preferred.
- Knowledge of website content management systems, such as WordPress, as well as graphic editing software, such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop, are required.
- Highly detail-oriented and strong organization skills.
- Candidate must have a proven track record of working under pressure, handling multiple assignments simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects with shifting priorities and competing deadlines, including developing, monitoring, and adhering to budgets and production schedules. Understanding of the child welfare system is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
