The Actualidad Radio Broadcast Journalism Scholarship was created by Actualidad Radio to support undergraduate students seeking a degree in the School of Communication & Journalism.
This scholarship is offering two $1,000 awards.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered:
- a junior or senior fully-admitted into the SCJ pursuing a major in journalism (broadcast) during the award period.
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 credits) during the award period (fall and spring semesters).
- a minimum FIU cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- submit a 2-page essay (typed double-spaced) about your career goals as a broadcast journalist, reasons for choosing the profession, and where you would like to work in the future.
- submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member (SJMC faculty preferred).
