We are thrilled to welcome you to the College of Communication, Architecture, + The Arts! Whether you took a break and are returning to continue your studies or are joining us again after a semester away, we’re delighted to have you on campus.

  2. On your MyFIU homepage, select Student from the dropdown menu in the top center of the page

Drop-In Spring 2025 Advising Schedule

Drop-in Advising sessions are offered weekly to assist you with any quick or urgent matters on your academic journey. Please keep in mind a few important details for a smooth experience:

  • Drop-in availability is based on your Advisor’s hybrid work schedule, alternating between face-to-face sessions on campus and virtual sessions via Zoom (fully online students have Zoom availability on twice a week). Please see the Drop-In schedule.
  • Your Advisor’s remote work schedule can be checked on PSN, taking into consideration potential variations due to teaching schedules, trainings, meetings, orientations, etc.
  • Advising sessions are limited to 15-20 minutes per student during Drop-ins, ideal for addressing immediate concerns. For longer discussions, we recommend scheduling an appointment in advance.
  • Drop-in availability operates on a first-come-first-serve basis and concludes promptly at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. While we strive to accommodate everyone, we cannot guarantee that all Drop-ins will be seen.
  • To ensure guaranteed availability, consider scheduling an appointment with your assigned Advisor through the Panther Success Network (PSN).

FAQs

Your Advisor will notify you through PSN if their drop-in schedule changes or if their regular drop-in hours differ from those listed above. Please continue to check Panther Success Network (PSN) for Advising updates.

Drop-ins should primarily be used for quick and/or urgent issues (15-20 minutes maximum). Longer meetings and those requiring your advisor to conduct additional research are best scheduled in advance and with an appointment.
Drop-in availability will be first-come, first-served and end promptly at 4:00 PM on M, Tu, W, and 12:00 PM on Th, F. While we will do our best to see all students who arrive during drop-in hours, we cannot guarantee that all students will be seen. For guaranteed availability, we recommend scheduling an appointment with your Advisor through PSN.

Students will meet with their assigned Advisor during drop-in hours.
