Global Media Communication (15 credits)
Develop competency in Communication from a global perspective and explore how it transcends Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism and Television.
- MMC 3303 Global Media and Society – 3 credits (GL) –The course will familiarize the student with a multi-cultural global perspective of a multi-media world. The aim of the course is to create a foundation of global media literacy.
- VIC 3400 Visual Design for Globalized Media – 3 credits (GL) – The course explores the relationship between images and messages in global media and the primary role that visual design plays in globalized media presentations.
- IDS 3309 How We Know What We Know – 3 credits (GL, GRW) –Merges the skills of global information literacy with the critical perspective to ascertain and measure the authenticity and credibility of information in academic and casual research and writing. Meets the state composition requirement.
