Professional Activities

Teresa Ponte, chair of the department of Journalism and Broadcasting, associate professor, teaches broadcast journalism. Before joining the FIU faculty in 1999, she was a producer for NBC News, CBS News and Telemundo Network. She has received several awards, including a national Emmy in 1996, and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1981.
