Gabriel Ramirez is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Florida International University, where he leads curriculum development for the newly launched Gaming Program and the forthcoming Master of Science in Game Development and Digital Art. His teaching and research focus on 3D digital art, technical direction, and real-time cinematic production using industry-standard tools such as Unreal Engine 5, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, and Nuke.

At FIU, Professor Ramirez is also the architect of the Technical Director (TD) track within the Master of Science in Cinematics in Game Engines. This innovative program integrates AI workflows across sculpting, rigging, animation, VFX, and motion capture, preparing students for careers in virtual production and game development.

In addition to his role at FIU, Ramirez serves as an adjunct professor at Miami Dade College’s School of MAGIC, where he teaches 3D modeling, animation, and rigging. His industry experience includes freelance work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, short film character rigging, and VR simulation development for educational platforms like HoloMath.

He holds an MFA in Visual Effects from Lynn University, a diploma in Game Art Design from VanArts Institute, and a BA in Visual Communication from American Intercontinental University.
