The School of Communication + Journalism’s primary location on FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) houses the School of Communication and the Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media in the Academic Two (AC2) Building. It is also the primary site for many of the school’s specialized labs for digital media teaching, learning, production, studio production, virtual and augmented reality production and audience research. Taken together, the School provides specialized technology labs that are generally accessible to its students.
Investment in Forward-Looking Resources and Facilities. The School has gained several new facilities through investment from philanthropy and from the Office of the Provost. These efforts have been led by Dean Brian Schriner, who has made it possible for the School to renovate and brand its existing facilities while reimagining and creating new spaces.
