Congratulations to Ammina Kothari PhD, 2013 Kopenhaver Fellow

Dr. Kothari has been named one of four AEJMC Emerging Scholars for 2016-17.  Her proposal “UK Media Coverage of the Syrian Humanitarian Crisis” was selected for funding  in very selective and competitive process.    41 proposals were received for the 2016-17 program. The selection process was very competitive and the winning proposals were selected based on:  (1) innovative approach and importance of the topic to the discipline; (2) quality of the background research and methodology proposed; (3) feasibility of completing the project with the time available; and (4) proposed budget and use of funds.
