Cecilia Combs

Cecilia Combs is a senior Writing Arts major at Rowan University with minors in Creative Writing and English and a Certificate of Undergraduate Study in French. She is also enrolled in Rowan’s Master in Writing Arts program.

Her work has been featured in several Rowan University-affiliated publications, including Avant Literary Magazine, Halftone, and the Writing Arts department’s publications. Beyond Rowan, Cecilia’s writing has received recognition, earning an honorable mention in the Morristown Book Awards and being published by the Decameron Project and Appelley Publishing. Through virtual readings, she has shared her work at Rowan University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Smith College.

In addition to her published work, Cecilia self-published her debut poetry collection, Tranquil Things, in 2021. She is a tutor at the Rowan Writing Center, where she enjoys teaching and supporting fellow writers. Her passion for writing education extends to conferences, where she has presented on tutoring multilingual writers at the Mid-Atlantic Writing Conference.
