LLK Center Circle of Colleagues
The Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication at FIU believes in the power of women to make a difference in their communication careers. We believe that communicators in the professions and the academy want to support women colleagues as they are starting and moving through their careers.
This is the reason we are excited to introduce to you the LLK Center Circle of Colleagues, a program which allows us to join together in support of women students, young professionals and academics and others who are well along their way in making a difference in their careers.
We are creating a focal point for our ongoing work to support our colleagues through their inclusion, and advancement in the professions and the academy. In doing so, the Circle of Colleagues cultivates and celebrates women as professionals and philanthropists. Our mantra is “Changing Lives through Courage, Caring and Collective Giving.” We are aligning our philanthropy and actions with the strategic direction of the LLK Center and its work. In addition, we are promoting inclusion and diversity of women in all of the communication professions and academic disciplines.
The primary goal of the LLK Center Circle of Colleagues is to join women in communication at all levels to invest in the future of young women and provide funds to diminish barriers to leadership and success in their chosen communication fields.
We invite you to join our Circle of Colleagues for 2020 at one of the following levels:
New to the Field $100
Sponsor $2,500 or more
By partnering with us you can help provide opportunities for students, young careerists and experienced professionals to grow in their skills and careers. This special fund will support young women with their education or at the beginning of their careers.
