The Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication will celebrate its 10th anniversary of operations in 2023.

The center offers programs to support its mission to become the nation’s leading training center for young women in all communication fields, with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, career resources, and leadership.

Diversity and inclusion are the central tenets of the work of the center, with the goal of expanding the number of young women of all races, ethnicities, and cultures who are ready to move into positions of responsibility in the nation’s communications industries.

Focusing on Diversity and Leadership

The center offers leadership training and mentorship programs for young women to enable them to have the tools to be better represented at the table where the decision-making process is taking place and to move into management positions in the communications professions.

The center thus hopes to build more diversity in leadership, resulting in a new and exciting group of managers and leaders who reflect the population of this country.

In this time of extraordinary social change, we seek to help women, and especially women of diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds, navigate the new world of communications and rise to its challenges.
