Executive Producer of Investigations and Special Projects for CBS4
Caridad Hernandez-Wood is the Executive Producer of Investigations and Special Projects for CBS4Miami. She is responsible for the production of stories generated by the team of investigators and reporters dedicated to bringing awareness to important issues, exposing wrongdoing and keeping viewers up to speed on consumer, health and entertainment news in the South Florida community. She also supervises the production of the station’s political show Facing South Florida with Jim DeFede and Focus South Florida which airs on MYTV33. Cari and her team have executed a long list of Emmy-Award winning investigations.
Prior to joining CBS4, Caridad was an Executive Producer for CNN Newsroom in Atlanta where she was responsible for the production of the two-hour morning news block for three years, While at CNN, she also produced a show called ‘Education Makeover,’ the shows focused on families struggling to improve the environment within their home in hopes of their children getting better grades in school. Caridad gained her experience as a producer by working at various television stations in both Miami and Philadelphia. She graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
