Melissa Matias

 Born and raised in New Jersey, Melissa Matias is a senior at Rowan University, where she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communication studies.

She has been interning with the Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication at Rowan for over a year now, where she and her peers complete various tasks, including promoting and executing events. Through this work, she believes the organization is able to provide students with an enjoyable, comfortable environment momentarily away from the stresses of college.

After graduating, she would like to pursue a career in communication and/or marketing in a creative field such as the entertainment industry. During her free time, she loves to pick up new hobbies such as journaling, cooking, and drawing.
