Department of Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design

FIU LAEUD is the first and only landscape architecture program in the Americas focused on tropical and subtropical regions, with a curriculum that also extends to broader areas and regions.

Our program prepares students for research and practice with a focus on the analysis, planning, design, and management of tropical and subtropical landscapes, alongside a comprehensive landscape architecture education that includes other geographical regions. Our goal is to educate individuals who can lead and serve their communities by enhancing the quality of life through meaningful, equitable, aesthetic, and sustainable design of the physical environment.
