Spring Semester: Internship dates are approximately from January 2022 – April 2022.

JOB SUMMARY: This internship will provide an opportunity to understand the role that the Architectural Design/Master Planning plays in the development of theme park attractions and supporting facilities such as Food & Beverage, Retail, and back-of-house. They will be a part of one or more project teams that are responsible for providing Architectural Design/Master Planning design and support. The intern will interact with fellow designers, as well as other Creative Studio team members, as they learn about the team approach used most often in themed development- which includes operational and consultant input. Deliverables will include 2D drawings/3D models of facility designs and 2D drawings for Master Planning. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with conceptual design work, supporting the Architecture/Master Planning team
  • Develop drawings in AutoCAD and/or 3D software
  • Assist with various illustrative designs using Adobe Photoshop
  • Support program metrics and comparison studies related to project needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • EDUCATION: 
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred. 
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Master Planning, Theme Park Design

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Preferable skills for success in role includes but is not limited to:

Required include:

  • AutoCAD and Revit knowledge

Preferred include: 

  • Previous design experience
  • Adobe Photoshop, 3D modeling programs (3DS Max, Maya, Rhino or Sketchup), and Microsoft Excel proficiency
