Marquis Latimer + Halback, Inc. is looking to add to our talented team of landscape architects and planners. We have an opening for an Associate or Senior Associate level.

Landscape architecture is at the core of our approach to projects. Our team strives to seamlessly integrate the natural and built environment in a holistic, sustainable, and artful way. We have an award-winning portfolio in a variety of markets including; historic preservation, higher education, health care, urban design, parks and play spaces, and hotel/resorts. A successful candidate is passionate about good design, will be engaged with a collaborative team, and challenged to work on all stages of the design process.

Responsibilities

  • Meetings and site visits with clients and contractors and close coordination with our allied design professionals and engineers.
  • Presentation, design, and construction drawings in a range of media including AutoCAD, Adobe creative suite, SketchUp, and hand renderings. Knowledge of Land F/X, Sketchup, and Lumion are a plus.
  • Business Development, which may include researching potential projects and assisting Principals in developing proposals and project budgets
  • Presentations and Meetings with public boards, architectural review boards, planning and zoning boards, city/county commissions, etc.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture or planning from an accredited program
  • Experience can vary from recent graduate to 5+ years
  • Proficiency with designing in a variety of mediums, including hand graphics, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
