Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly-motivated Mobile Product Manager to contribute to shaping Inkling’s enterprise product offerings. We are looking for a team player with emotional intelligence and the ability to earn credibility and build relationships across a diverse group of internal and external partners. The right person will possess an owner’s mindset with a proven ability to operate and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

As a product manager of our mobile products, we’ll look to you to help blend customer-centric principles and insight with industry-changing innovation. You will work directly with the VP of Product Strategy to create a robust, user-friendly and engaging mobile experience for users with varying levels of technical ability and savviness. This role will be responsible for creating, prioritizing, and executing the mobile product roadmap which will engage and delight our customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with our product team while applying your analytical and creative abilities to define a product vision and innovative solutions that exceed user expectations
  • Meet with customers and prospects, understand how to make them successful and lead a team of talented designers and engineers to build the right solutions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert: collect user feedback, speak to its value add and vision while ensuring productive communication channels 
  • Formulate and measure product analytics to ensure on-going product performance and improvement

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years as a Product Manager in enterprise SaaS, especially in mobile
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong technical and data-analysis skills. 
  • Proven track record for developing, managing, and launching large-scale web/app-based software products for the enterprise
  • Adaptable and capable of delivering and iterating new product features

Progression Expectations:

Within 1 month… 

  • Complete onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on Inkling’s business, vision and team and gain an understanding about how your role fits into Inking’s broader organization
  • Meet with critical people from across the organization through a series of 1:1s so you gain insight into how we meet the needs of our customers and prospects
  • Develop baseline understanding of our products (and how they evolved over time), processes, and tools.
  • Begin to attend all relevant sprint ceremonies
  • Internalize the forward-looking roadmap

Within 3 months…

  • Meet with key customers and/or their CSMs to understand how they are using our products/services, including what has gone well and areas for improvement
  • Take ownership of product backlog, applicable Agile ceremonies, and existing processes
  • Develop deep understanding of critical personas in customer organizations
  • Understand the market landscape, Inkling’s position in it, and the variety of problems we solve in the verticals we serve
  • Drive the execution of the next set of major roadmap items in conjunction with our engineering and design teams

Within 6 months…

  • Define and deliver on existing roadmap functionality
  • Set the roadmap for the next 12-18 months
  • Become an expert in our product offerings/functionality such that you could lead successful demonstrations for customers or prospects and field responses to complex questions, if required
  • Identify areas for process improvement and put into place plans to achieve them
  • Define ways to leverage native mobile functionality to solve customer problems

Environment and additional requirements:

  • General office environment working remotely, supporting team members in various time zones
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Minimal travel required, less than 20%
