We are currently seeking a dynamic Art Direction Intern to support our existing creative team in producing exceptional client work.
Description
Our Art Direction Intern will work closely with a copywriter to address our clients’ marketing strategies by developing concepts for print, digital, radio, television, social, and content marketing. This person will be a task master, confidently owning their assigned work and collaborating easily across teams and with senior-level executives within the agency.
What you’ll be doing for us…
- Assisting in the day-to-day management of individual projects and miscellaneous campaigns for multiple brands
- Work with your copywriting partner + creative directors to concept and bring to life creative ideas across several brands and clients
- Concept compelling ideas, comp them up, and create production ready files
- Collaborate regularly with creatives, and work across departments with producers, project managers, account, and media on a variety of different projects
- Actively seek out inspiration, cultural trends, and industry news to keep your executions fresh and relevant
- Executing administrative tasks in support of client deliverables, including filing, making copies, completing FedEx runs, and booking conference rooms
- Keeping a current knowledge of industry trends and actively identifying ways to apply them where possible to active projects
- Working closely with internal teams to build a comprehensive knowledge of BBDO processes
- Participating in any agency-wide intern projects
What we’re looking for from you…
- Academic or internship experience involving social media, advertising, marketing, or other similar creative environments
- A portfolio or PDF of 2-3 creative pieces, campaigns, or projects that showcase your conceptual work and composition skills
- Proficiency across Adobe Creative Cloud software, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- A strong attention to details while keeping the big picture in mind
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills
- Proven knowledge and application of color theory, typography, and design principles
- A curiosity about evolving social and digital landscapes, and a genuine love of advertising
Job Type:
- Internship (15 weeks)
- Hybrid in office and remote (3 days in, 2 days out)
- Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00-6:00 (may work only a maximum of 40 hours per week)
