Dr. Sara Pezeshk is a designer, researcher, and educator advancing innovative approaches to climate-adaptive design, ecological infrastructure, and digital fabrication. Trained as an architect, she holds a Doctor of Design (DDes) from Florida International University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at FIU's Institute of Environment, where she developed research at the intersection of environmental systems, emerging technologies, and resilient coastal design.Her research applies AI and digital fabrication to coastal infrastructure, with a focus on marine biodiversity and climate resilience. She has taught at FIU's School of Architecture since 2015, integrating these themes into the design curriculum at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. In 2025, she co-founded NiSARA Studio, extending this research into applied ecological design practice.
