Leadership Opportunities

As part of CARTA’s commitment to advancing excellence in academic leadership and aligning with FIU’s Experience Impact 2030 Strategic Plan, we are pleased to announce an exciting internal leadership opportunity for faculty:

  • CARTA Dean’s Faculty Fellows Program, a leadership development initiative designed to mentor and prepare faculty for future roles in higher education administration.

The Faculty Fellows Program is open to all full-time tenured and non-tenure-earning faculty across CARTA. We invite qualified faculty to review the details and consider applying to contribute meaningfully to the college’s mission and strategic goals.

CARTA Dean’s Faculty Fellows Program

The CARTA Dean’s Faculty Fellows program provides leadership development opportunities for CARTA faculty who desire to gain academic administrative experience in higher education leadership.

In addition to taking the lead on particular strategic initiatives that advance the mission of CARTA, the Dean’s Fellows will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of academic leadership and strengthen skills and understanding in key areas of higher education administration.

Dean’s Fellows are appointed for one year beginning in the Summer semester through the following Spring semester and can be renewed for no more than two consecutive years.

Fellows report directly to the Dean and participate in the CARTA Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) and the Dean’s Executive Leadership Team.
