John and Amy Israel Pregulman have dedicated themselves to photographing Holocaust survivors, recognizing the urgency of preserving these living histories. The project began in 2015, when John was commissioned to create portraits for an exhibition at a Holocaust museum in Illinois. What began as a single assignment evolved into an ongoing commitment to document and honor those who bear witness.

The eight photographs presented in this exhibition offer intimate encounters with survivors, foregrounding their presence, resilience, and the enduring importance of remembrance.
