Join us for a walking tour of Lincoln Road, a 1960s pedestrian mall by noted Miami architect Morris Lapidus and a visit to Florida International University’s Miami Beach Urban Studios, a facility in a 1940s building that hosts innovative exhibitions, classes, research laboratories, and events for FIU’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts. Led by architect and MBUS director John Stuart, the visit to MBUS will demonstrate the creative synergy of arts and architecture in designing sustainability for preservation and architectural design and collaboration with FIU’s Sea Level Solution Center. We will have a chance to experience MBUS 3D printing laboratories, one of the largest in the United States.
