Amanda Sanfilippo is a contemporary art specialist with experience organizing site-specific commissions in the public realm and for institutions. Currently the Curator and Artist Manager for the Department’s Art in Public Places program, she has a background of effective fundraising and strategic planning for contemporary art not-for-profit and independent organizations.

Amanda holds an MA in Contemporary Art History from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London in conjunction with the University of Manchester and an undergraduate degree in Art History and English from the University of Vermont, Burlington. She regularly contributes critical reviews to contemporary art journals and publication and founded the Locust Roundtables series of open format discussions on topics in contemporary art at Locust Projects.

The series is curated by FIU Associate Professor, Alpesh Patel.
