January 9, 2020 9:30-7:00

The 2020 Global Studies Symposium will take place January 9-10, 2020. The symposium is designed to cultivate and celebrate innovative and effective work related to internationalization at/by minority-serving institutions and community colleges across the US. All symposium presenters are faculty or senior administrators at MSI or CC institutions and the majority of attendees are as well. FIU’s Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center (LACC) and Vanderbilt’s Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) are co-sponsoring the symposium. Vanderbilt’s Avery Dickins de Giron and FIU LACC Associate Director Liesl Picard developed the initiative and they serve as the symposium co-chairs. The event is being funded through LACC and CLAS’s US Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center grants.
