Ian Melgarejo is a collage artist and photographer who enjoys taking images through different kinds of photography. His work encompasses urban photography and light painting, with the latter allowing him to freely express himself artistically in a way that he can control the entire image. He continues to practice various photographic techniques to explore the many possibilities the field has to offer. He works on collage almost daily, to challenge himself to get a results he wants with limited source material or to make a piece work with material that’s been overlooked. His collage work often takes on a surreal approach.
