Leandra Arvazzetti, a South Florida native, lives and works in Greenville, South Carolina. She received her MFA from Florida International University in 2015 and previously worked as a textile designer, which greatly influences her work. Arvazzetti’s practice explores the physical manifestation of the ephemeral through fiber-based sculpture and installation. Her materials reference identity through topics of industry, labor, family, and cultural heritage. Arvazzetti views her work as a way to deconstruct or dissolve her identity into the larger landscape of the natural world.

Arvazzetti has shown at various juried exhibitions nationwide and is collected by Francie Bishop Good of the Girls’ Club. Her work was chosen to promote a tie line by Chris Bosch of the Miami Heat during Art Basel 2013 and she designed and was the instructor for a public installation for the Miami International Airport. She was also the Program Director for Project Art, where she oversaw and developed free art education programs in public libraries for children. Arvazzetti is currently a full-time Art Professor at Piedmont Technical College.
