Holding the Line: Body, Power, and Play explores soccer as a lens through which contemporary artists examine identity, gender, performance, labor, and collective belonging. Featuring works by contemporary artists working across video, photography, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, the exhibition considers the field as both a physical and symbolic space where bodies move through systems of power, ritual, competition, and visibility. Drawing from the global culture of soccer, the exhibition reflects on themes of fandom, community, resistance, spectacle, and play..
