Chef Andrew Zarzosa, a Miami native, honed his talents at a bevy of celebrated establishments, including training at Alinea in Chicago and leading the food and beverage programs at the Hunter’s Room & Grill in Dubai, the Fairmont in Jakarta, the Shangri-La in Borneo and Manila, and Yuzu Miami. With such expansive experience and education, Chef Andrew now showcases his range at The Betsy – South Beach, overseeing all food and beverage outlets – and his barbecue is to die for.

Jen Karetnick is a Miami-based freelance writer and author/co-author of 20 books. She has been covering food, wine, travel, and other lifestyle subjects for more than 25 years. She has worked as the dining critic, food editor, or features editor for a variety of newspapers and magazines, including Miami New Times and New Times Broward Palm/Beach, South Florida Magazine, Wine News, and Modern Luxury’s MIAMI Magazine. Jen is an award-winning poet, playwright, essayist, and educator, Jen holds an MFA in poetry from University of California, Irvine, and an MFA in fiction from University of Miami

We’ll also welcome a surprise guest (John Noble Masi, consultant for SOBEWFF) from the Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism known ‘vernacularly’ as the area’s Cheif Gastronome Academy, providing highly rated degrees in Restaurant/Culinary Preparation and Management to prepare the region’s best and brightest to excel and lead in global hospitality.
