Restroom Restriction, 2020
Sharpie on mannequin legs, wood, and toilet seat and cover.
Within politics today there are policies commonly referred to as Bathroom Bills, these are created to discriminate against Transgender people, by forcing them into the bathroom of the gender they were assigned at birth, or on the external sex characteristic of genitals thus also targeting individuals who have not physically transitioned. The crotch and inner thigh of the legs have these bills written on them, the smaller text is used to draw you in close. The toilet seat used is to represent the restroom, while the position of the seat around the legs is to evoke restriction.
